30-Day Glee Challenge: Day 07

Your favourite Tina/Artie moment.

** ATM I've watched up to "The Sue Sylvester Shuffle" but I am familiar with the storyline and character appearances with Season 2. Damn spoilers. **

I can't have a favourite moment of a relationship I didn't even enjoy.

30-Day Glee Challenge: Day 06

Your favourite Rachel/Finn moment.

** ATM I've watched up to "The Sue Sylvester Shuffle" but I am familiar with the storyline and character appearances with Season 2. Damn spoilers. **

Probably their duet in the episode "Duets". It's hilarious!

(The next few posts will probably be short due to lack of will and post-Potter depression.)

30-Day Glee Challenge: Day 05

Your favourite duet.

** ATM I've watched up to "The Sue Sylvester Shuffle" but I am familiar with the storyline and character appearances with Season 2. Damn spoilers. **

I'd say "Sing!" by Tina & Mike Chang. It's so fun, and Mike Chang is adorable in the performance! I think it's hilarious that he can't sing but he's in Glee club, and the performance just made me love Mike Chang as a character. IRL I think I would love to be friends with Mike Chang, based on that performance.

30-Day Glee Challenge: Day 04

Your favourite solo.

** ATM I've watched up to "The Sue Sylvester Shuffle" but I am familiar with the storyline and character appearances with Season 2. Damn spoilers. **

Deffinitely "Dancin' With Myself" by Artie/ Kevin Mchale! I love it so much. I sing along to it all the time. I didn't like it at first because I'm so used to the original version but it totally grew on me. The cover's incredibly groovy and I suggest you all give it a listen, even if you don't watch Glee.
I like how it's really easy for me to sing along to it, it's in my key and I just have to sing an octave higher than Kevin, and I like the way our voices sound together! I've recorded a cover of the song but I haven't uploaded it to Youtube yet; I'm too scared to. Oh, well.

30-Day Glee Challenge: Day 03

Your favourite group performance.

** ATM I've watched up to "The Sue Sylvester Shuffle" but I am familiar with the storyline and character appearances with Season 2. Damn spoilers. **

One of my favourite group performances would be "Don't Stop Believin'" from the very first episode. I liked it so much because it shows the hope they have for Glee Club. I think that it's a quality performance, even though it was just for Mr. Schuester.

I know this is a really short post but I can't really think of a good explanation.

30-Day Glee Challenge: Day 02

** ATM I've watched up to "Never Been Kissed" but I am familiar with the storyline and character appearances with Season 2. Damn spoilers. **

Your favourite male character.

My favourite male character is definitely Artie! I think that he's hilarious and really shows how diverse New Directions is. I mean, it's got people of different races, but I feel like because people always focused on the concept of integration as racial, we tend to forget about people who are handicapped. I'm really happy that there's a wheelchair-confined kid on the show. That being said, he isn't my favourite because he's in a wheelchair. I love how talented Kevin Mchale is; that boy can SING! He's also a really good dancer, even though we don't see much of that on the show.
Where I am in the show now, he's in a relationship with Brittany, and I really like them as a couple. I think that they're great together and I really wish it'd worked out.

Another two favourites of mine are Kurt and Blaine. I love how Kurt can get attention in a scene without even talking. I think he's hilarious and I admire how strong he is. Like I've said before, I love how close he is to Mercedes, and I love their friendship.
I like Blaine because he's a great friend to Kurt and he's got a lot of talent. I just generally like him as a character on the show. Also, I like him because he's played by Darren Criss, who's totally awesome.

I know that I didn't post yesterday or the day before, but I'm going to try and make up for it today, ok? Ok.

30-Day Glee Challenge: Day 01

Your favorite female character.

My favourite female character would probably be Brittany S. Pierce. I think she's hilarious and that she definitely deserves more scenes about her. (I'd like to point out right now that I've only watched the first season and the first four episodes of the second season. She might've gotten more scenes, but I don't know.)
She's totally clueless, and quite dim at times, but I think that that's what makes her adorable and hilarious. Everything she says puts a little grin on my face (props to the actress, Heather Morris. I heard most of her lines were improvised.) I loved Brittany in the Brittney Spears episode, and I would love it if future episodes focused on her.
In a way, I feel bad for her. She's so clueless at times in the show and I'm amazed that she's been able to pass her classes. Actually, when I think about it, she could be booksmart, or "intelligent", without being "smart." There's a difference, I swear! I would love to see an episode where a subject comes up and Brittany knows all about it. (And by "subject," I mean something other than hairography.)

Another character I love is Mercedes. She's totally awesome! I love how confident she is with her body. I'm confident with mine as well, but not that confident, and I definitely respect her for that. I love that she's a diva and that she's so close with Kurt. She was so supportive when he came out to her. That's another thing about her that I respect. I really wished that the relationship she had with Puck was legitimate, instead of Puck just using her to stay popular. I think she could've easily straightened him out!
I also love that she took Quinn in during the last part of her pregnancy. I really don't like Quinn, but I respect what Mercedes did for her. I know I've been using the word "respect" a lot here, but I have nothing but respect and admiration for Mercedes.
I hope that there will be another episode concerning body image, particularly her body image. I know that there was an episode like that in season 1, but I didn't really think it covered the subject that well.

30 Day Challenges

Seeing as I haven't really been posting as much as I would've liked to, I've decided to use these 30-Day challenges from Tumblr as an excuse to post. (Or rather, a reason to post.) I'm using challenges from this Tumblr page. I decided that multiple challenges would be better than just one because then I can make myself write as much for a post as I want!
I've chosen challenges for three subjects: Glee, Michael Jackson, and Harry Potter. There are two Harry Potter challenges that I've copy-pasted into a Word document, so I decided to post both questions, but only answer one. Also, a question in one of the HP challenges is supposed to be posted before the final movie comes out. Seeing as that's only in a few days, I'll switch it with the original first question of the challenge.
Ready? Here we gooooooooooooooooo!

A Post About Glee.

I hated Glee with a burning passion when it first came out. Seriously. I thought it was the worst thing to happen to television and music simultaneously since Hannah Montana. Every time someone brought it up, I'd scoff about the shaky camera angles and poor covers. That was 2009, and it's now 2011 (obviously), and I guess that after two years of this, it's about time I eat my words.
Now that the show's taken a summer hiatus between the second and third season, my mother's been talking about how
"We should get into Glee."
"We need to start watching Glee."
"I think we'd really like Glee."
About a week ago I gave in and we started the first episode of the first season online. And, to my bewilderment, it was actually pretty good! I guess I just never gave it a chance because I never got a chance to watch it and the first of their covers that I'd ever heard was "Jessie's Girl" (which really wasn't that good). I ended up really liking the first episode and the characters, which I never thought I'd do.
My mother and I watched the entire first season online and we've started the second. I think we're about two episodes in. We'll probably catch up in another week and be forced to suffer the hiatus along with other Glee fans!
Although I'm a fan of the series now, I don't at all consider myself a Gleek or whatever the fans call themselves. I like the show but I still find faults. I can't stand how shaky the angles can get and there are quite a few continuity errors. Although I like the actors' and actresses' voices, there are some covers I really can't listen to (like the previously mentioned "Jessie's Girl").
That's kind of all I have to say for now.
Hey, remember when I said I'd update every week?
