30-Day Michael Jackson Challenge: Day 05
A photo of MJ from the year you were born.
Maybe you can guess what year I was born in by this photo?

30-Day Michael Jackson Challenge: Day 04
Your favourite short film.
Probably Black or White, because I love how it explores different cultures, in a way. I loved the intro with Macaulay Culkin; he was so cute! I feel like the video is part of pop culture history; not just because it was MJ, but because it's part of Macaulay Culkin's career as a child actor.
I also really like Thriller, for obvious reasons. It's spooky, fun and all-around quality. I know the Thriller dance, too, and it's really fun to dance along to! I feel like I'm in the video with Michael when I do it!
Oh, and speaking of Thriller, last Halloween I dressed up as Michael from that video. The body makeup was incredibly politically incorrect but I looked awesome. I won the award for Creepiest Costume... still don't know how I feel about that. They played Thriller at my school's Halloween dance and I went and did the dance and everyone went crazy and I was famous for five minutes. It was groovy.

Your favourite MJ quote.
Again, a really short post. Like, four sentences short.
"And I remember going to the record studio and there was a park across the street and I'd see all the children playing and I would cry because it would make me sad that I would have to work instead."

30-Day Michael Jackson Challenge: Day 02
Your favourite album, and favourite song off that album.
I think my favourite album would be one of these three: Dangerous, Invincible, and Thriller. I think they're all really good for dancing, and I think that as much as Michael loved to dance, he loved to make other people dance.
My favourite song off of Dangerous is Jam, because it's a great song to dance to! When I'm home alone, I like to pretend I'm performing that song in front of a huge crowd to pump them up for the show. I run around yelling the lyrics, and it's just a lot of fun for me!
As for Invincible, I think my favourite song off that is Threatened. It's so catchy and, again, it just makes me want to dance! When I listen to the song, it gives me power, and it makes me think incredibly highly of myself, for some reason. It's just a great song to listen to.
My favourite song off of Thriller is probably also my favourite MJ song all-around. Human Nature. It's beautiful. The vocals, the beat, the rhythm, all of it is beautiful. I remember hearing it just after Michael's passing in 2009 and crying my eyes out. I feel like MJ tries to justify something in that song.

30-Day Michael Jackson Challenge: Day 01
When and how were you first introduced to MJ?
I can't really remember exactly the time I first found out about him, because I've kind of always known about him. But my earliest clear memory of him happened in 2004 or 2005.
I was at my friend Kasey's house with our moms, and we were watching 13 Going on 30 on DVD. (It's definitely one of my favourite movies.) In one scene, Jenna goes to a party, and it's dying. She gets the DJ to put on Thriller and the crowd does the dance and saves the night. I remember Kasey and I got up and started trying to do the dance too! It was so much fun, even though I don't really remember it as awesomely as I'd hoped.
After that, I started listening to MJ quite a bit. At my 13th birthday party, we played Thriller (we have a cd from 1982!) and tried to do the dance, even though none of us knew it, so we ended up just doing the "zombie claws" that everyone else does.
I know this was kind of short, but I'm just getting started with these 30-Day things.

30 Day Challenges
Seeing as I haven't really been posting as much as I would've liked to, I've decided to use these 30-Day challenges from Tumblr as an excuse to post. (Or rather, a reason to post.) I'm using challenges from this Tumblr page. I decided that multiple challenges would be better than just one because then I can make myself write as much for a post as I want!
I've chosen challenges for three subjects: Glee, Michael Jackson, and Harry Potter. There are two Harry Potter challenges that I've copy-pasted into a Word document, so I decided to post both questions, but only answer one. Also, a question in one of the HP challenges is supposed to be posted before the final movie comes out. Seeing as that's only in a few days, I'll switch it with the original first question of the challenge.
Ready? Here we gooooooooooooooooo!
