So I Made a Blog.

If you're reading this, you just might be a Twitter follower or a Facebook friend, or my mother, or perhaps someone who just stumbled upon my blog. (Or, perhaps, someone who just StumbleUpon'd my blog.)
I started writing in a notebook about a week ago. It's small, and it's got the "Keep Calm and Carry On" poster on the cover. I just write little thoughts of mine, for example:

I can confidently say I will do well on the science exam.

Another example:

I think everyone should have a pair of white skinny jeans in their lives.

But I also have some rather long entries, rambling on about how I wasn't looking forward to my birthday or how I like my new bedcovers. Basically, I use the notebook to write down what I'm thinking at the moment if it's something no one would really care to hear.
I showed the notebook to my friend Daniela, so she could read it, because I've really nothing to hide. I'm fine with people reading the notebook, because I like getting feedback. She read it, and turned to me and said, "You should post this stuff!"
I did like the idea of having a blog, but I didn't really know what I'd do with it. So I just stored the idea in the back of my mind. I let my mom read the notebook and told her how Daniela thought I should post my opinions on the Internet. She also liked the idea. So, I guess that's why I'm doing this. If two people think I should write a blog, maybe more people will like this!
I'm also doing this because I feel like this is a good way to practice writing. Literature is definitely a career choice I'm considering, so I feel like I should get into the habit of writing, because it's something I love doing. My goal is to post at least once a week, but I doubt that I'll be able to keep that up. Even though I could easily write about something every day, I'm unfortunately incredibly lazy. Also, this summer I'll either have a job keeping my busy or be in a part of Prince Edward Island with my mother's side of the family and limited Internet access.
I guess that's it for now. Thanks for taking the time to read this entry. If you have a Blogger account, I'd appreciate it if you followed me. I'd also appreciate any feedback, be it through Facebook or Twitter or actually coming up to me in real life.
